Arrowhead Provincial Park (*Early Departure 8 a.m.)

The park is located just north of Huntsville, Ontario, on the beautiful Canadian Shield. There are a total of 31 km of groomed ski trails (28 classic and 16 skate). The park also has a 1.3 km ice skating trail, winding through the campgrounds in a loop. This trail is kept smooth by Zamboni, so think about bringing your ice skates too!
The visitor centre is used as a warm-up and lounge area. It houses the winter rentals shop equipped with skis, ice-skates and snowshoes. Washrooms are available and there are also washrooms close to the ice trail which is a 6 minute walk from the Visitor Centre. There may be fires lit outside for more warmup space. Bring your lunch and snacks for the day as the visitor centre only sells pre-packaged snacks. There are a few microwaves available. Finally, there is a brand new, fully provisioned waxing room with 5 ski forms, built in ventilation system, and really good heating so you're not freezing while you're waxing your skis.

Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre (*Early Departure 8 a.m.)

With more than 30 km of trails winding through lush forest, Georgian Nordic offers great cross country skiing for the novice through to the expert. Georgian Nordic offers performance (combined classic and skate), back country and single track trails. Georgian Nordic does not offer food service but has everything else. A comfy chalet, indoor washrooms, classic and skate ski rentals. They often have two fire pits for warming up or to eat your lunch outdoors if you choose.

Hardwood Ski and Bike (9 a.m. departure)

This resort is located about 20 km north of Barrie and has classic and skate ski trails with 8 different loops ranging from 3.5 to 22 km, plus 12 km of snowshoeing trails, rolling trails through hardwood and pine forests. The chalet is open with washrooms downstairs and a water refill station. Hot food and drinks are available at the Trail’s End Cafe and there are tables for dining and warm-up. There is a lookout cabin on the trail with hot chocolate and fire pits.
There is indoor unsecured bag storage in a public area. Hardwood’s Service & Repair Shop is open for the season. All rental equipment is located in the Main Chalet. Please refrain from bringing rentals into the Retail Shop.
Highlands offers a cafeteria with hot soup, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and yummy homemade goodies. There is a pro-shop, rental department, service shop, and waxing facilities.
Located at the edge of the Copeland Forest and at the junction of 2 snow belts, this resort has 40 km of groomed and track set trails through scenic rolling woodland. The trails are suited to all abilities, including 9 km of trails for snowshoeing. There is a heated chalet where you can eat your lunch and warm up, ski rentals and a place for waxing. Members should bring their lunch and snacks for the day as there are no food options for sale. However, all manner of meals are available across the street at the Alpine Chalet. This resort also has a small retail shop.
Located 40 km north-east of Peterborough, there are 34 km of classic trails and 13.5 km of skating trails plus, for snowshoers, 10 km of wilderness trails following a loop through beautiful Canadian Shield terrain. Trail maps and other useful information is found on their website. There is no cafeteria or other food service on site, so you will need to bring your own food. Members requiring rentals will need to book in advance to ensure having equipment available.

Mansfield Outdoor Centre (9 a.m. departure)

The Mansfield Outdoor Centre is located in Dufferin County and is nestled in the hills of Mulmur Township on 300 acres of forest, fields and the Pine River. Their trail network provides a choice of different trails graded from novice to intermediate winding through the beautiful forest with many picturesque views of the Mulmur Hills.
The main lodge is open with a dining area, cafe, lounge, washrooms, rental building, outdoor seating areas. The Pine River Cafe serves sandwiches, soups, chili, baked goods, coffee, tea, juice.
Scenic Caves Nordic Centre (9 a.m. departure)

This resort is on the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment, approximately 10 km west of Collingwood. The trails range from beginner to intermediate. The area offers beautiful scenery, two lookouts over Georgian Bay and the Osler Valley, wooded wilderness and usually good snow conditions. There are 27 km of combined classic and skate skiing trails, along with 10 km of snowshoe trails.
There are ski rentals, waxing facilities, and a small store for ski gear. As part of your trail pass fee, Trakkers has the use of a separate building which is a large 2-level log cabin with heated washrooms next door. Trakkers will have access to these heated washrooms as well as the cabin basement for changing and storing your bags for the day. The cabin is heated by a wood stove. Trakkers members can use the cabin as a warming station and to eat your lunch. Bring your own lunch and snacks. The main building will have soup and chili for sale but the eating area is quite small and it is a 5 minute walk to the cabin.
